Minor
Additional education profile of Academic Consortium "IUK"
MINOR (additional profile) is an important component of the new educational model of the bachelor’s degree. This is a block of four interconnected disciplines of a non-core area of study for the student. For example, a future economist can gain additional knowledge in programming by choosing to study the Minor “IT”, and a future software engineer can gain additional knowledge, skills and competencies in economics or management by choosing to study the Minor Economics or Management
Distinctive features of Minor

studied in the third and fourth years of the bachelor's degree

consists of four disciplines studied sequentially

each discipline is studied in 2-3 modules (5 credits each)

Minor credits are included in the 240 credits of the main program

takes up 1/12 of the total program labor intensity

Subjects are chosen by the student independently

Minor implemented by the specialized educational program

Minor profiles are held simultaneously on a specific day
Mission : goals : objectives
Studying a minor will help a student gain additional competencies in a field of knowledge different from the main area of study of his/her educational program. Minors are offered for selection to all second-year bachelor’s students. Each student can choose to study one minor.
This program refers to the variable part of the educational plan and is implemented as a choice by students of a number of disciplines (either related to each other in content, or not related – a free minor).

MINOR Program Recruitment Plan 2025-2026
For bachelor’s degree graduates, the results of mastering the minor disciplines will be re-credited in the advanced training program. After mastering the full course of minor disciplines at the end of the 4th year, the student receives a certificate with a qualification, indicating the number of credits and hours received. After graduation, the student receives a diploma of higher education, in the appendix of which the minor disciplines will be listed. If a student chooses a free minor and does not complete the full course of the minor in one program, he will receive a certificate indicating the name of the discipline and the credits received without qualification
